“Sinners” simply put Ryan Coogler’s magnum opus.
I am not saying that just to jump on the hype train, I mean it with every sense of the word. I've watched many of his films and while I had a great time and valuable lessons, something about sinners just made it one of the best movies of the year.
Now as much as I love this film, I will be tiptoeing around the major themes present I, don't believe someone of my background should be discussing the topics present in this film in a very major way. While I can identify them having any clear relation to them for me just feels undeserving as I'm clearly not the target audience for the themes and message. However they are clearly present are exceptionally and I'm sure many people in which the overall themes connect to will have a lot to say.

Michael B Jordans performance as the twins was as good but as mentioned before I've watched a lot of his films and I knew his extent as an actor, the person I was really blown away with was Miles Caton, who I really hope I get to see in more future projects. Whether that be with Coogler or just general because both his acting capabilities as well as his singing voice was truly one of the highlights of the movie. This was especially done and well showed in the about 8 minute segment that occurs about halfway through the movie that was truly the peak of the movie in my humble opinion.
Now it's not a bad thing, like I said I love this movie, this movie is fantastic however when you see the scene that I'm talking about (if you know you know) the amount of creativity and technical work and symbolism and just overall meaning packed into that 8 minutes of film really cemented this movie as Ryan Coogler’s best thing he has put to screen
I know I'm saying that a lot, while Black Panther is easily one of the best MCU movies, Sinners really stands out from that and shows that he's not just tide down to boxing movies and superheroes flicks. If this is your forte into a Coogler movie that isn't one of those things you are going to be pleasantly surprised and love what you find
The score the edit all the other performances really stack up and really cements this movie as the best I sound like a broken record here but really there's nothing much else to say that hasn't been said. Sinner is a 10 out of 10 and is simply Ryan Coogler’s best movie. Where he goes from here and the storieshe wants to tell next I would love to see and wait with such eager and anticipation. Whether that be a new Black Panther movie or another dip into this vampire infested world no matter what I will be sat in the cinema waiting.
